A Girl in the Curl is back in school

be a little more social (read all 2 entries…)
a friend of mine here... 2 years ago

and his wife just had a baby last month.

To celebrate, they’re having an Argentine Asado (read MOFO Barbeque like you ain’t never seen)

And, I haven’t been able to reply back that yes, or no, I will or won’t go.

Truth is I want to.
But I’m shy.
It would be really nice to speak my native tongue and hear the Castillian Dialect again (since my mom died, I haven’t)

So, what’s wrong with me?
I’m tired for one.
but…what else?

Just a suggestion...

...But you’ve got a LOT going on, it sounds like? Maybe stress coming out in different ways?

A Girl in the Curl is back in school

Hi Mous!

yes, that’s true, but I have a natural proclivity for this type of behavior.

I’m fairly reclusive.
most of my friends accept it and tease me about it. If I show up at a bar for bar hopping (rare) they go “Hey! does this mean we get 4 more weeks of winter or somethin’?” and that type of joke.

on the phone, it’s usually 3 minutes of “no…it can’t be!!! it is!!! I can’t believe it!”

and I just have to grin and go “yeah, yeah…I know”

Reclusiveness

FWIW, I’ve always been extremely reclusive. I have the same initial reaction to an invitation like that—”Uh, err, I’m, uh, tired and stuff…” But every time I’ve gone out with friends, I’ve been enormously glad I did.

Well, it's solved itself

I’ve received two invitations to do things on this day, and had to turn them both down.

I’m scheduled to work that day.
:(

A Girl in the Curl has gotten 3 cheers on this entry.
