design a game that I would like to play (read all 2 entries…)
Something's definately missing 2 years ago

Everything that I have to say could effectively be summed up as “me too”.

My hypothesis is that a game unmistakably bears the stamp of its designer. A computer game however, bears the stamp of the programmer/team as much or even more than the designer. I have been working the last several years to buttress my coding skills, I have several designs that are ready to go, I just need to get to a level where I can render them in code.

I have been staying away from people (except close trusted people of like minds) because I believe the problem is ideological and contagious, like most ideas are. And I am getting close to completing my “baby” project, which is an intentional step to building the “real” one. The “baby” has taken a lot longer than I thought due to factors that go way outside of the actual work of building the game. But in a month or 2 (or 3) it will be done.
