1. Having double fat ‘rustic’ camembert, baguette, red wine, adsl, spliff, candles, sleeping kids and folk alley all in the same place.

2. Painting ugly furniture in happy colours despite everyone else’s better judgement :)

3. Seeing kids smile real happy gappy-toothed smiles

4. Writing lots of twaddle knowing that paper is abundant in the modern world

5. Seeing The Mirror go back to football and entertainment stories rather than scaring everyone’s heads off about rucksack carrying ‘dark-skinned people’ plotting to steal our “freedoms” à la Bush.

6. Not deleting my blissful moment list by accident when I’m half-way through

7. Having a rare moment of culinary acceptability

8. Hearing Jim Blum play a song by someone who loves bald-headed men before going on to a Brazilian rhythm before announcing ‘I’m Jim Blum’ (I do love Random Stuff). i mean, who else on earth would do that?
