I’m thinking about setting up a Charitable Gift Fund. You contribute cash or securities, cash is invested so it continues to grow, and then you issue grants to other charities. I hope they let you name your gift fund something vaguely inspiring, like the foundations you hear that sponsor NPR programming. I want my gift fund to be called “Amalgamated Compassion.”
