- Hiro is the cause of just about everything. He is the reason the world is doomed. He creates the time paradox that ultimately destroys the world. What causes it? Hiro originally thinks the world was destroyed when he first warps to the future, but in reality, it was just New York. Notice that future Hiro never leaves New York? He doesn’t know that the world was not destroyed and he keeps trying to fix things. At the end of the last episode (april 23) they show him creating timelines, which shows that Hiro himself is trying to sort everything out.
- What destroys New York? Syler explodes. This can happen one of two ways. Syler kills the nuclear guy and cannot control the new power OR Peter injects nuclear guy’s power into Syler and again, cannot control it.

Severely disappointed
I’ve always thought that this series was not gcing to be like X-Men. Well, I must say that I am disappointed. Not because my predictions were not correct, but I did not consider that they would be a copy-cat. tsk
I think we have seen 2 distinct timelines. In this episode, there are many paradoxes.- Peter’s scar. In the present timeline, Peter healed himself fully when he first met Claire and when he had glass in his head. So, why does the future Peter have a scar? Because in future Peter’s timeline, Peter never met Claire. So, he did not have her power.
- Speaking of Claire, if she is alive in the future, why does New York still explode? The present timeline has everyone saving Claire but still preventing an explosion? That does not make sense.
- On top of that, how can Bennett possibly know where Claire is, let alone help hide her, if Bennett’s memory was erased?
- The explosion. Peter exploded in New York because Syler killed someone close to him, maybe his mother. Nathan covers it up, spinning the blame to Syler. That was not the end of the world. The end of the world occurred when Peter fought Syler in this episode.
Anyway, now that we know a little more, Hiro may kill Syler. I do not think it will be in the present. Hiro will have to kill him in the past. Syler is way too powerful at this point. I’d be surprised if he does.
So, when will Syler die? Logically, one would think the night of Claire’s Homecoming, but I think it would be much earlier. Syler was powerful at that point, too. Therefore, I think it would be the day the Mohinder’s father attempts to contact Slyer in the watch repair shop. Hiro will kill Syler before Syler kills his first victim.

Theories
Yes, the two distinct timelines is definitely copied.
I found it interesting how they developed story paths for each of the characters. I don’t think Bennett was mind-wiped in this future timeline. I hated that they killed future Hiro, but our Hiro can still change things. I’m real curious what happened on that art page that future Hiro slipped Ando. I bet that it’s the page where he dies, so that he can save himself.
I think that Hiro will try to kill Sylar in the present. Since Sylar doesn’t have Claire’s powers, he could still do it. I don’t know if Peter will still explode the city, but I’m hoping they don’t go that route.
I’m curious whether the show will be renewed for next year. That will be the true determination of what we’re going to wind up seeing as a resolution.
