Sir, I think that you missed a golden opportunity to get right with the people, by not meeting again with Ms. Sheehan.
I can understand what you’re saying today, regarding her views on the war. But sir, you let the Liberals and the other anti-war activists score public relations points by not dealing with the issue for as long as she has been camped out there.
Tomorrow, sir, I’d like to write to you about the need of the Republican party to revolutionize their stance or lack of one, on protecting the environment. You need to take this one away from the Liberals, because if and when they make a come-back, it will be when they take a stronger, less compromising stand on cleaning up pollution, preventing further contamination of our air, water, and land.
Have we really done everything we can do assist the people of Darfur? What better excuse to start removing some troops in Iraq than to send some others over to Darfur? Or better yet, get some of our NATO allies to commit, by cutting some deals, like we’ll give them some favourable trade deals.
Tonight I’ll say some prayers for you and your family, that you all wake up and smell the coffee. I’ll pray that your daughters volunteer to join the military, and also to Iraq or Afghanistan. This is the only way that you can salvage this aspect of your foreign policy. We poor, we Blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans, rural Whites, we are fighting your oil war for you all, sir. If your children choose to do something which will support you and America, it will be to show that as future leaders, daughters and sons of leaders, they are leading by example.
God bless and good night, sir. I’ve got some situps and pushups to do before I sleep.
