Going for Green... 2 years ago

speculative yes ….but do I feel good about it..anyway I just bought a heap of shares in a BC hydro business…. they will sell green power on the grid.

I grew up in in coal mining community in Australia and here I am living in the Canadian Oil patch, the enigma of green head and black feet conjures images of a hobbitt away from the shire: we can effect change from within.

...how has your investment gone? Do you think there is more demand for green energy in your area?

Well

I still feel good about this from an emotional and fiscal position, And the project apprears to be on target to produce power in 1st Qtr 08. As for demand I sure there is! Cheap renewable power is the mantra. NZ is lucky to have a good mix of thermal and hydo opportunities I hope their optimizing them. While I am wary of the reoccurence of an nuclear agenda. Great to hear:)

Yes most of the power is accessed through thermal, hydro or wind. I am definitely wary of mutterings about resorting to nuclear energy. People obviously have short memories!!
