When I went to New York I was so freakin’ pumped; I mean I had read about it, seen it films, and allowed the vibe of the city to pretty much soak into my brain. I live in Alabama so NYC was a bit of a difference. I mean I’ve lived in major cities, but they were all smaller and West coast. I was shocked to find that this place, which I thought was an exciting cultural experience, was nothing more then a slum from one end to the other. No trees just buildings and while that may seem really cool at first, the smog and gloom will change your mind really quick. The Chinatown (I’m Chinese so had to visit) was just another Asian ghetto with trash all over the place. After you visit NYC try out Vancouver, BC, Canada or San Fran. Those places are super nice and so are the peeps. You’ll get that urban feel without the disease.
