wow, it really has. the trick to loving this album, i think, is to not compare it to their previous masterpieces but rather just accept it on its own, as a unique, wholly different, fun record. if you go into it with that mindset then you definitely wont be disappointed. the best songs (“impossible germany,” “you are my face,” “hate it here,” “leave me like you found me,” “walken”) are just so much fun and light. I think it’s a great summer album. The only problem is there is nothing here to match “Radio Cure”

yay for you accepting it! i’m having some probs, too… “walken” is immediately loveable… but i guess i’m different from you… i’m more of a “being there,” “a.m.” sorta girl… “hummingbird” was my favorite from “a ghost is born,” so i know it’ll be a lot easier for me to love this album than you (i’m basing this off of the fact that you love “radio cure”)... so far i get the feeling it was the cd that should’ve come between “being there” and “summerteeth,” if not the billy bragg woody guthrie stuff (don’t misinterpret… it’s all damn amazing). i’m rambling…
anyway, congrats on your goal ;-)
