Went to Bonnaroo in 2002, 2003 & 2004 – missed this past year as my daughter was born on June 1st, so we’ll take her next year! What an amazing experience – unbelievable music, great people… it was fun to watch this evolve over 3 years into what has to be the greatest ongoing festival of all time. 2004 saw 90,000 people attend. The best part is not only seeing the artists you love, but getting to see new artists and being exposed to new music and people from all over the country & world.

Some great performances I’ve seen by the following bands (though not limited to): Widespread Panic (2002 with Mike Houser – best WSP panic shows I’ve ever seen); PRIMUS 2004! & Claypool’s Frog Brigade (and Bernie Brains); Jack Johnson; Ben Harper (solo & with the Innocent Criminals); The Dead; moe.; String Cheese Incident; Xavier Rudd (best solo act ever); Dave Matthews & Friends (miles better than a DMB show); Medeski, Martin & Wood (2003 all night rave was kickass); Galactic; Northern Miss Allstars; With 3 years worth I could go on and on, but if you get the chance… GO!
