My cat hates me and will not let me pet her. She doesn’t tolerate affection well. She hates being picked up and will never snuggle with me on the couch. I must accept this. I must let her be.

My cat’s pretty cold too. Your goal made me giggle. :) I don’t get why my cat’s so unaffectionate. We’ve had him since he was tiny and always treated him kindly, give him treats and toys and attention, and he’s just a total jerk.

i read somewhere that kittens who don’t bond well early with their mums can be unaffectionate/aggressive later in life. our kitty was abondoned, so it’s possible that could be it. and also, as a fresh kitten, she lived with an evil hellion kitty-cousin who probably taught her how to be evil in many different ways. (such as never, ever allowing any object to remain on the coffee table, night stand, or windowsills. they get swatted off within 30 seconds.)

Totally off topic, Violet, but I noticed that
our evil kitties are similarly colored.

They’re all evil; even the sweet ones are just biding their time and probably messing with us in our sleep.
I have three, one (Dr. Fuzz) is a total jerk but I am such a sucker for him…no matter how bad he is I just love his furry little face anyway!
That’s part of the fun of cats I guess.
