Dayo For Granny 2 years ago

This is the fourth layout I’ve done in the lasy month, and easily the best. I love the colours, and the textures in it.

My grandmother wanted me to do a page for her to put up on her bedroom door, and Mother’s Day gave me a good excuse. I used a fabulous coated netted ribbon I loved on sight, that I bought at Laurie Dash in Bridgetown, Barbados.

I also used a repeated embossed border along the right side, and embossed baby’s feet and hearts on the left lower corner. I used two sides of Brenda Walton’s Small Wonder’s Boy patterned paper, and a tag from the same collection.

I also used buttons from my mother’s awesome button collection, and contrasting ribbon bits to put the final touch on the vellum, which is from the Sweet Pea collection by K&Company.

This is the layout I like best of the few I’ve done, since I re-discovered my childhood love of scrapbooking recently.

(Journaling) A Baby Boy: one of the most beautiful miracles in life, one of the greatest joys we can ever know, and one of the reasons why there is a little extra sunshine, laughter and happiness in your world today. (Adedayo Etienne Fedon)

Wow! Considering I’m only getting into it in the last six months, and have yet to complete a whole album, I thank you for your kind words.

keep at it...

you obviously have a talent.

this is one of the first things I did using my Cricut, which has become a STAPLE in my scrapbooking.

Duckienz is in Europe!

AWESOME!!!

I am impressed. Just one piece of advice I have is make sure you date your layouts. I often do on the front so that people can see as they are flipping through my albulms BUT if not always on the back. I write who is in the photos (include surnames), when the photo was taken, when the LO was completed and who completed the LO as well. This is all information that future generations will love to know.

Keep up the great work!!! xoxoxo

sungoddess has gotten 2 cheers on this entry.
