Almost 4 years ago, I moved to a different state. Moved away from all my family and friends. And then, my husband and I have moved 4 times since then. Same general area but different neighborhoods. And still I haven’t made any good friends. I’ve grown closer to his family, which is wonderful. But the only girlfriends I have all live in different states. So we can talk on the phone and online of course, but when I want to go shopping or go see a chick flick, it’s my hubby that gets dragged along.

It’s so hard to meet new people. For starters, I’m shy. And some people see this as anti-social. When actually, I’m really hoping you’ll start a conversation. I do have some trust issues, but don’t we all? And where can a person go to meet new friends? Everyone says church, but then that’s not always true. I’ve met some people at work, but they always end up just being acquaintances. We never do anything outside of work.

I really need to work on this goal.
