I can’t imagine driving with an automatic transmission. Choosing a gear is such an important part of the driving process that it’s like driving a car with “automatic brakes”. It doesn’t work well.

Anyway, everyone is free to choose what is best for him, but at least be sure to TRY manual for a while before settling for auto.

Then again, serial/semi-auto (say, Porsche tiptronic or BMW SMG) may be even better. This can only be found in expensive cars, so it’s currently quite rare.
