I was having trouble focussing in my classes, because I needed something to occupy my hands during lectures, so I started to knit a pair of gloves. It was winter, so I had lots of motivation to finish them, and work through the slightly uncomfortable feeling that knitting in class gave me at first. But, I was more able to participate in discussions when I was knitting, since I could concentrate better, so my professors didn’t mind.
