Aaron going to be apple picking.
Well, not super soon, but by August 1st we will be the owners of a small farm, 4 acres with a barn. I know it’s small, but it’s going to be ours. :)

Four acres is a nice size. My parents and grandparents live on four acres and we had a huge garden growing up (about half an acre). It was a pain to hoe, but not as big a time-killer as mowing the lawn was. Even with the tractor with the four foot blade, it would take about four hours to get all the mowing and trimming done. (I could get it done in two hours when no one else was home because then I could go in fourth gear instead of second or third. My parents and grandpa used to say I was going too fast and wasn’t giving the blades a chance to cut. Now they have newer tractors that go much faster than the old one did and they zip around the yard at speeds I couldn’t even come close to.)
Anywho, I think this is a great opportunity for you and think you’ll love it.

Good to hear from you. How’s it going? I can only look forward to mowing the large lawn… I do look forward to having a large garden, and harvesting our own produce.

Moving in so late in the season won’t give you an opportunity to get things planted this year, but I hope you take the time to set up your garden this fall so that it’s all ready to go for next year. You can even plant some of the stuff that sits over winter and comes up in spring. I’m so excited for you.
Things with me are good. Just got back from a fun trip only to discover that my work hard drive crashed and can’t be recovered so I’m trying to rebuild things off of old backups. Otherwise things are very good. Thanks for asking.
