Help end racism
Constantly staring racism in the face 2 years ago

I’m from a small town…with many small minds. Fortunately, I was raised differently than most of the people I’m surrounded by (thank you, mother!). Even though I am a white middle-class American female that grew up in a town of bigotry, I find any sort of racism/discrimination of sexual orientation/color/national origin incredibly wrong. It was great to get out for a few years and go to college and actually see the world a little bit. But now that I am back, I’m reminded of how sad this place is. Children grow up knowing no different and everyone is afraid of change and it disappoints me. Other than staring it in the face and saying “that’s wrong” and 500 other ways of saying all people are equal – how can one really make an impact in changing peoples’ views of race??

Comments:

its sad

I also live in a small town with very small minded people. It’s good to see that there are people out there, like you, that feel the same way I do.

Not all who wander are lost has gotten 2 cheers on this entry.
