lose 165 pounds
The journey begins 2 years ago

I’m tired, I’m fat, and I’m tired of being tired and fat. I started juicing a month ago, and my overall diet has improved. I have binged several times this past week, and I feel sluggish and exhausted. I’m getting back on the horse today. The last time I weighed myself I was 367 (I’m 6’3”). I don’t have a scale at home that goes that high, so I’ll have to wait until the next time I go to the doctor to find out where I’m at. I have tightened my belt up a notch, so I’m sure I’m down 5-7 lbs in the past month.

My plan is this:

I’m going to walk for 10 minutes (or more) per day until I drop a few more pounds and get used to the exertion. Then I’ll step up the intensity with someting else.

I’m going to have 2 liquid meals a day, 1 solid meal, and 2 or 3 snacks. I’ll be taking in calories at least every 3 hours, so my metabolism will always be active. 1 liquid meal will be fresh fruit and/or veggie juice (I like juicing beets, carrots, apples, grapefuit, oranges, wheatgrass, greens, peppers, watermelon, berries, etc). The other liquid meal will be a meal-replacement shake with soymilk or cow’s milk, protein powder or meal-replacement powder, and frozen fruit or a banana and peanut butter. Snacks will be carrots, apples or pears, melon, raw nuts, cottage cheese or yogurt, etc. Meals will always include at least 1 vegetable, no white rice (only brown), limited potatoes, nothing fried, lean meats, lots of fish, lots of chicken and turkey, no bread except whole grain. No refined sugar, honey and raw sugar are allowed. No white flour allowed, either, and only 1 alcoholic beverage per week (beer or wine only). Only 1 cup of coffee per day and at least 8 large glasses of water.

I’ll keep you posted.
