i play the cello and am currently in 8th grade. I have been playing for not as long as you have, but have been playing for about three years. This year, my teacher is asking me to play bass for a little because we only have 1 bassist and 15 cellists. I’m not sure if I’ll do it, but from seeing your comment, I guess I’ll try it :) my brother who is currently in ninth grade played the bass for three years and now quit the bass once going into highschool. my teacher knew he was a good bassist and she also knew that I played with his bass when I was bored, so she just automatically thought of me…so thank you for posting this, even if it wasnt SPECIFICALLY put for mine, it helped my comment :) thank you!
