I have used my oven (too much smoke), a popcorn popper and now I own a dedicated roaster (fresh beans plus 8 model). Popcorn poppers work well because you can roast a lot and you can move it outside if the smoke is too much. The plus 8 roaster is perfect in the house, your oven fan will suck up the smoke. Otherwise, if you dont mind the smoke, a cookie sheet in the oven works just as well. Enjoy!
