*The Parting Of The **Sensory** summer? allready?!
I can understand why fundamentalists of any religion feel threatened by science: because it answers many of the same questions that religion attempts to answer. Religion “fills the gaps” by making us feel secure”- people are under the assumption that as a species, humans have all the answers (not so). I have decided that I am an athiest. I think god is a creation of man, man is not a creation of god. The unknown IS scary, but by falisifing history and creating explanations for the questions of why and how life is as it is- in my opinion- is the wrong way of trying to find the true answers. By accepting the fact that as humans, we are INSIGNIFICANT AND A MINISCULE PART OF A SYSTEM OF WHICH WE HAVENO CONTROL. I like the idea of religion, I really, really, REALLY want myself to believe in a god, and that I could have life after death- because it’s all comforting, but I’d much rather ask questions my whole life, and not have the answers given to me... I hope that anyone who reads this realises that, in the end, you are the only one who has the ability to answer these questions. If Religion is the best answer for you, that is great! Im just not convinced…..
