I know how to remember new peoples names! When that person introduces themselves to you make it a priority to say their name at least five times before the night is over. Like, “It’s so nice to meet you NAME!.” Or “SO what do you do for fun NAME?” It works. Try it. I know this but I am lazy and sometimes forget to do this.
