remodel my house (read all 2 entries…)
Parents are coming, must finish remodel 1 year ago

Thing is, I’ve got to get most of the house remodeling done before my parents come and visit in mid July. There are no baseboards, there are huge holes in the wall where he-who-must-wire decided that he needs constant access (instead of installing, say, a DOOR), and the bathroom. Oh, the bathroom. It still scares me. I’m not sure how I’m going to make it less scary. Years of filth. Decades, perhaps. At least the removal of the wall panels and a good scrubbing got the decades of smoke off of the walls. (Hint to smokers. Smoke outside. It won’t turn your walls yellow.) And the carpeting is all out, although we still have to refinish the floors in the office and hallway. Ugh. It looks better than we bought it, but still. It doesn’t match what we paid for it.

Thanks! It's crochet and there's a pattern

cake #4: chocolate fondantI found it on crafster.com while looking for amagarumi to make to decorate holiday gifts—cute little penguins last year, not sure what I’m doing this year and time is quickly passing.
The instructions can be found here, along with a much better crocheted totoro example (this was my first crochet project, so if you’ve never crocheted before, it’s easy to do. Just don’t run out of blue yarn (grin).
I also made a chocolate cake with a cocoa-painted catbus! for culinary class. I confused my table partner—how can it be a cat and a bus? It’s CATBUS! That’s how!

thank you
