Quit Smoking
the easy way

I quit, after 5 years’ smoking, about 20 years ago. I was lucky – the process was kinda painless.

I took on a job as part of a film shoot, on a very intensive schedule for about six weeks in southeastern Australia. As it happened, I quit just before the shoot started, and, through a quirk of fate, no-one else on the unit was a smoker. So, what with working flat out every waking minute, and having no smokers around at all, I emerged at the end of the shoot exhausted – and free of craving.

So I guess the lesson is: get distracted. Get busy. Very busy.
