Today I made arrangements to pay off a debt that was just days from showing up on my credit. I am sooo proud of myself!!! I have prevented another negitive mark, so that is a great step in cleaning it up. they say prevention is the best medicine.

Way to go! Take it from me the alternative is that you have no access to buying large ticket items like a car or house, (and these are the things you should buy on credit) Do NOT buy vacations or lend money to friends or family using credit, that is how we got into trouble.
