I have been away from my parents for more than 5 years now… left home when I was 17 for studying overseas and working etc. And in these 5 years I have been able to visit them only twice. Last time being almost 3 years ago..during my sister’s wedding!! And it was just not enough… They are reaching an age in their life where I want to take care of them and look after them. My Dad for example loves food. And I have learnt to cook in this time that I’ve been away – and I want to make all my great dishes for him and see him beam with happiness that his little girl makes all his favourite meals. sigh
