Emancipation Day Presents? 2 years ago

I was wondering if this would be a good time to do this. To buy presents for children that in some way teaches them about Emancipation.

So I’m thinking this isn’t a baby gift. It would have to go to older children.

I’m wondering what would be a good idea. I must do some research into toys, games or books that would make a good gift for children that focus on either Emancipation or Slavery and teaching children about this period in history.

Does anyone have suggestions or ideas?

Ask a librarian for book recommendations. Off the top the only thing that comes to mind is one of the “American Girl” dolls, but they’re pricey, and not a great source of historical accuracy.
