eat kobe beef (read all 6 entries…)
Mmm, beefy 2 years ago

Went to a restaurant called Misono in Kyoto which specializes in teppanyaki (in fact, they claim to have invented the technique). The meal was expensive but not outrageously so, and we had our our own chef chopping and frying the meat right at the table.

As for the beef itself, it was just as people describe: meltingly tender, almost like eating meat-flavored butter. Now I only wish I could eat it in other forms… say, shabu-shabu, or sashimi-style.

I’ll post pictures later.
