this series is so frustrating. i want to hate it, but the pages keep turning. thousands of pages have gone by and little has happened. I recently read half of The Wolves of the Calla and put it down for awhile because I bought other exciting books. I will finish this eventually though.
I loved this one, mainly because of Father Callahan being in it. Have you ever read Salem’s Lot?

Having read it first gave Wolves of the Calla more depth for me. I want to read Dark Tower all over again from the beginning. I think it’s one of King’s best work.

I couldn’t remember a thing about Salem’s Lot, so went back for a reread before Wolves of the Calla.
I do think, though, that the later Dark Tower books do suffer a bit of that rushing-to-finish feel BUT stick with it – you will not be disappointed for following it through, trust me :)
