Keep up with my journal
Bridget Jones 1 year ago

Whether you liked this movie or not doesn’t really matter. Bridget Jones is very timely about her journal entries (literally—in the books, they are all dated with specific times).

I have this problem. I think of great things I’d like to write down, and then when I have finally found some spare time to write it down, I have forgotten whatever it was I wanted to write. What to do, then?

Personally, I plan on trying out this new method of journal-entry. I will carry around my journal and hopefully get a chance to write down the things that pop into my head from time to time.

If this doesn’t work, I have no idea what I’m going to do. Set a specific time to write? Maybe. We’ll see.

I have this problem, too. Carrying your journal everywhere takes a lot of dedication, and sometimes it just isn’t practical. I have found it helpful to assign little code words to your thoughts, or just remember the first letter, and repeat it to yourself periodically until you get back to your journal.
When I was in Europe on all-day tours, I would mentally keep strings of up to ten letters in a row, from which I would later extract the full stories from my day.
