She enjoyed training her drinking and wetting dolly Emma, and practicing running to the potty with her. She didn’t much like actually sitting on the potty. But all in all, a good start.

A good start
We started very playful, too. No pressure and letting our daughter decide herself when she wanted to really use her potty. It helped: it took a few weeks after the introduction of her potty, but all at once she started using it and two weeks later she was diaper-free.
Thanks
for the encouragement! I was reading/using “Toilet Training in Less than a Day” which I do like. I think it’s a great, positive approach. But the “Less than a Day” part never fails to raise my hopes. Unreasonably, in my opinion, since neither of my older kids trained in “Less than a Year.”
daydreamingmom wondering why I haven't done these things on this list in the last yea
How old
are the children that are potty trained in less than a day? 5? hmph.
Not too mention one’s own definition of “potty trained”.
AmyBK8899 is home and happy.
we bought that book
and haven’t found a free weekend to try it. I’ll be checking in to see how it goes with you.
We bought everything… the doll, the underpants, it’s just a matter of both of us being home.
So what?
If I actually have learned anything by raising my daughter this far, then it is that it’s useless to put any pressure on a little child. It just won’t work. Keep things simple, make them fun and give it some time and things will come in time.
Segsy is on furlow until January 18th! I hope!
Dr. Phil
He was on Oprah once showing how to potty train in one day. I think it’s all a bunch of BULL! But that’s just me. I also confirm with daydreaminmom as to what the definition of potty trained is.

Well...
We haven’t started actively potty training yet, but we have a few books (including one that flushes loudly when you push a button), and Isak sure loves flushing the toilet and waving bye bye (way to go with the environmental footprint, kid).
He’s continuing to either wiggle his way free of wet diapers, sometimes peeing proudly on the whole pile of pants & diaper, and only seems to poop at home, holding it until he can do so.
I wonder if he’s ready to bring out (drumroll) the seat? I don’t think I’m quite ready to actually add this goal yet, but soon… soon…
Hey, do they have peeing boy dolls? Or peeing robots? I think peeing robots would get his attention.
Good luck.
