If you have Alpacas and are not already rich, sell them while you can. If you don’t have them and are not already rich – do not invest in them (unless you just want them for your own use and not for resale). I loved my alpacas and missed them – but investing in them was a huge mistake. I ended up selling 9 for less than the price of one. If you have enough money to invest in major advertising (code phrase for “scamming”) then go for it. Vet bills, feed, pasture care, barn care, shearing, etc. literally broke our bank. I bought them as an investment and sold them at a loss. Learn from my mistake and do not invest unless you are able to buy them for $1000 or less (which is what you can get many for now, unlike the $12,000 to $15,000 I paid per animal for mine).
