I very much want a grand piano. Not a concert grand, but not a baby grand, either. My parents have a 7 1/2 foot that I absolutely love. The touch is better than any piano I’ve ever played. It’s a Kawaii, but I’ve never found a Steinway I prefer. Actually, the only piano that’s come close was a Boesendorfer. I have a 1902 Ivers and Pond upright grand, but the soundboard has cracked, and, sadly, the A flat below middle C sounds as an A flat, an A flat-and-a-half, and a G. Ach, well . . . someday (soon, I hope), I’ll find my piano.

I Suggest Making a Plan
to find the piano you want. Sounds like you know what you want. Do you have room for a 7 1/2 foot grand? I know I don’t even though I would love to have one.
Also, as you probably already know, Boesendorfer are quite expensive, being what some consider the top of the line in European built pianos.
