I bought an amazing pair for twenty bucks! 2 years ago

I walked in the shoe repair shop to have them look at the badly worn heels on my favorite (only) pair of black shoes. I walked out with a great pair of cowboy boots. I had to dye them black, but they are fantastic. They couldn’t repair my dress shoes: it would cost more than I paid for them in the first place.

Hey, I like that you mend your shirts and try to get your shoes repaired rather than seeing everything as disposable. :)

Saafir is planning his best year yet

It's partly necessity..

and partly conscience. I feel more powerful and less a part of our manufactured and disposable culture when I mend and fix things. I’d much rather shop at a thrift store or buy a used car than buy new things.
