not swear so much
$@(#$&)

Once in 9th grade I told a boy to “Shut the hell up” well in driver’s ed. This won me an overnight suspension, two day of in school suspension and a 2 page paper on “Appropriate Language For A Young Lady” to be turned in to the Assistant Principal.

Yeah, never wrote that paper and I’ve been swearing up a storm ever since. I know how horrible swearing sounds and how people think I can’t use my words, but it’s become more of a habit than a way to really express myself in a moment and that sucks.

The part I don’t like about that punishment is the title.

”...For a Young Lady”

Sounds like it is discriminating.

Why didn’t they say: Student? Pupil? PERSON? Human? Well-Respected Person/Syn.? Respectful Person/Syn.? Young person? Even, Young Lady &/Or Gentleman/Boy would have been better.

At least you didn’t write it I suppose?

Anyhooters, the way you break a habit is by: doing the opposite/other thing/or not doing that FOR what was it..22 days in a row? AND do not give up if you mess up once, just continue anyway the next day and next minute and just add another day on I suppose.

My apologies for not remembering the exact number of days you need to do something to make it a New Habit.

;;Love,
Edina.
