I can’t wait until I’m Doctor Jen! So many people in my life think that I won’t be able to do it for a number of reasons (I’m a girl, I’m not smart enough, physics is turning my back on religion etc.) I have very few people encouraging me along the way, and while I’m horribly grateful for them, it’s really the people who don’t believe in me that keep me going. I’m currently working at CERN on my undergraduate thesis, so I’ve still got quite a while to go, but one day…one day…

You can do it!!

I know completely how you feel! I’ve started calling myself Doctor this and that ever since I got into the Phd program, cause its my new goal in life. And all of my professors from college (also in Boston) though I was the dumbest, slowest most likely to fail student they’d seen. But I just finished my masters degree (after a 3 yr detour) with high honors, and the PhD is underway. Don’t listen to critics, and DON’T GIVE UP!!
