Winter camping — 11 months ago
It was a little cold, and it was not particulary pretty (it’s winter on the Highveld, after all) but it was camping.

I think...
...that with camping, I’d rather it be cold. Camping in the heat is just miserable!

My first camping trip, it stormed during the night. A really, really awful storm. My friend’s tent wasn’t covered, and so she of course got up to tie the cover onto it. (It was about 2AM)
She slipped in a puddle and broke her wrist, as well as a bone in her elbow!
Though I will say, I enjoy the sound of rain hitting the roof of my tent… as long as the roof is covered. ;)

Yes... it was pretty awful.
But still fun. :)
For me, at least. Because I didn’t have a broken wrist and my tent was covered. ;)
