write fanfiction
Hooray for Fanfic! 2 years ago

I’ve been writing Fanfiction since I was eleven years old, mostly Harry Potter, but I’ve dabbled in all sorts of things, and it’s really great.

Not only do you improve your writing skills, but through sites like Fanfiction.net and te review system, make great friends and have lots of fun.

As said, Fanfiction.net is a good place to start. Look around a bit, read some things and get a general idea of how a good fanfic runs.

Once you have an idea, go into word/open office/ whatever program you have, and start writing. When you get into it, you don’t realize you’re writing and your fingers just keep typing. Eventually, you’ll look back on it and thing ‘Geez! Did I just write that? wow!’

Don’t be discouraged by flames (bad reviews), it happens to all of us at some point and though hurtful, look at where your story went wrong or why they critized it and what knowledge you can use next time. There’s not always a good reason for the flame though, sometimes a bastard is just a moody bastard.

I’m not sure how many I’ve done by now, but I know quite a few are finished. I’m not sure when this goal will be complete, when give up fanfiction writing I guess. And I don’t see that happening for quite sometime…

And for some self-pimpage, here is my page.

There’s some old bad fic in there too, be warned.
