adopt a cat
Jellybean and Violet

I adopted a 3-4 year old calico cat (Jellybean) from a shelter 2 years ago, and she has blossomed from a shy scared skinny kitty into a friendly, cuddly healthy cat. A few days ago I adopted a second one (Violet) and I’m waiting for the animals to get used to each other. Violet is also super shy, scared, and skinny, but loves to be petted and headbutted. She has claimed the bathroom sink as her favorite sleeping spot. It feels so good having saved 2 lives.

You should really consider adopting an adult cat from a shelter, its amazing how they really seem to know what kind of life (or lack of one) you saved them from. And they are grateful for it. Kittens are cute and wonderful too, however, they have a much better chance of finding a home than an adult cat.
