Planning for Paris II — 11 months ago
A new list of Paris musts is being written. It’s mostly food and art- but then again, so is Paris.

Oh Veni, this was my first trip to Paris. I squished in as many things as I could in one week, and we walked absolutely everywhere, but missed the following:
1) Montmartre
2) drinking chocolate at Angelina’s
3) Berthillon ice-cream
4) a visit and a dozen macarons from Laduree
5) Longchamps for shopping
6) La Musee d’Orsay
7) La Mere de la Famille for candy
Suggestions would be very welcome! Since we travelled in late spring, I am thinking of another season for the next trip.
i will be stealing these suggestions, at least some of them anyway. my boyfriend and i are going just after new year’s. any other suggestions for us? it will be both of our first trips to paris.. thanks :)

More suggestions: (in no particular order)
1) dinner at “Chez Denise”
2) an afternoon at the Louvre, if only to see the Mona Lisa in the flesh, so to speak
3) ditto for Venue de Milo
4) walk to La Tour Eiffel at dusk, as the lights go on
5) Pierre Herme (on rue Bonaparte) for jewel-like desserts
6)Eric Kayser for unforgettable breads and tartes
7) Hediard for sweets (pates de fruits)and boutique foods. And your their cave au vins!
8) If the weather’s nice, stroll through Cimitiere Pere LaChaise and follow the tourists to Jim Morrison’s grave!
le parc de la villette, its a nice architectural parc. its really pretty.
