What is it that you love and know a lot about?
Get a Blogger account.
Build a blog of original content around what it is you love the most and you are bound to make quality posts.
It is the quality and originality that makes a site stand out and brings in the traffic.
Put some Adsense ads on it, submit each post you make to all the social bookmarking sites, especially StumbleUpon.com
Then just keep writing, posting & submitting.
With each interest you have, set up a separate blog and do the same. It is better to have many specialized blogs than one big blog of everything.
People with varied interests can have many specialized blogs and bring in quite a bit of traffic if they don’t do it for the money, but do it for the love of sharing what they are interested in.
Write from your heart.

How about all those recipes for christmas cookies you have been making over the years (or your mom’s)? Post them to a recipe or cookie blog! Christmas is coming and that is one of the things people will be searching for.
Make a goal to become the Queen of Cookies (or whatever it is that you love)...build your empire, one quality post at a time.
Then be patient. (but most of all, keep posting)
I have a blog that acts as a directory for free legal ebooks on a particular subject that I love. With only 40 posts I am bringing in $20/month in adsense revenue on just that blog…imagine what I can bring in when I make a post about each of all 460+ books I know about. :-D
I have another blog about software that runs well on older pc’s. I test everything on my old P1 and write a review. (most is freeware)
I have another with recipes.
I have another where I post the jokes from all the funny emails that people forward to me.
Altogether I have 11 blogs and 8 websites, and about to create another 2 sites soon…one about cats, and the other will be flash games.
The most important thing is to love what you do…don’t do it for the money and the money will just come any way. It’s the quality and originality that counts.
