I left Darwin in 1995 (moved to Melbourne, and had been based there since). But, until last month, my parents were still living there. It’s sad to think that I won’t be visiting there regularly anymore.

Even more than the sunsets, I miss the tropical storms. Stifling humidity builds up, and is then swept away by the cool winds and heavy rain. The thunder and lightening shows are simply spectacular… nature showing off in the most wonderful way.

Had to make a special trip to get these pics… most nights leading up to this, we’d had storms roll in before the sun had a chance to set.
