1. I learned how to knit, crochet, and bead. Now when I see a sweater, hat or scarf that I really like and want, I find a way to make it myself. I can make a great sweater for under $40 and this is saving me a ton of money. Plus it gives me something to do. I always have yarn left, so once a year or so I can get a striped scarf out of scrap yarn and a present for someone for free.
