I put in things for the start of the school year, to get my daughter and I into the routine of things for school. I am determined, beyond anything not to be late, getting her to school. Last week, the only day I was later than I wanted to be, was friday, and we were there only 10 minutes late, which last year, or just 10 weeks ago, was a regular occurance.
So, now, my before bed routine is 12 items long, I think, my morning routine is around 10 items, and the afternoon routine is around 16 or something. It’s all easy things, little things, but they make everything run so much more smoothly. I just need to stick to it. Get it under control. Actually do everything on the list, in form. I need to get a new erasable pen, like for dry erase, and use it, the ones I have are horrible.
I have been doing really well with my routines in the morning, and some in the afternoon are good too. I’m sure I could do better if I actually checked it quite a few times daily. I have brought it out, and put it on a counter, so it’s more accessible. Maybe then, I will actually pay attention to it. I already have today. I had my husband do the dishes after breakfast, while he did that, I brushed and did up my daughter’s hair. I had already gotten them dressed to shoes, and I don’t wear shoes while it’s summertime, so, I have sandals readily available. I forgot I was writing this and got busy doing other things this afternoon, so I’m going to leave this the way it is. Good luck! lol!
