My training starts this week. I’ve been drinking beer, and eating chocolate (which I usually can’t stand) to prepare myself for doing without.

good luck! I’m two weeks shy of my race and never gave up on chocolate (which I love!) and gave up alcohol only the last month of my training. I don’t think you have to completely give up either, but I do think it keeps you focused if you do :)
