Intacs are far superior, reversible and don’t remove any tissue. Go with Intacs, well worth the extra money.
Comments:
can't be good to feel butchered
I’m sorry that your experience has been so bad that you would consider it to be butchery. Has your vision worsened, or was it the side effects that gave you trouble? Is there anything that you can do to correct whatever went wrong, or are you so loath to be touched, again, that you wouldn’t do it, even if there were a solution?
In any case, butchery is a term used to qualify particular instances of surgical procedures, not the procedures, themselves. If the surgery is performed correctly, it can’t rightly be called butchery, no matter how gross anyone thinks it is. I certainly wasn’t butchered, but obviously others have not been so lucky.
I think choosing a good surgeon pretty much eliminates your chance of being butchered, but there will always be a risk of complications with any surgical procedure. So, if Intacs are a great solution for someone, then, yeah, why take the risk of surgery? Please consider that Intacs aren’t a satisfactory solution for everybody, however. (They wouldn’t have even begun to correct my abysmal vision.)
I have INTACs after research
I had a great experience with INTACs. Not sure how you made that incorrect inference I had a bad experience with a horrible technology.
Most competent opthamologists say LASIK/PKR is butchery. They usually don’t let anything touch the structure of their eyes (sans contact lens) – but they all seem to say, if I was going to do it, I go with INTAC’s
They work great for me now and they will in 50 years or I’ll have them removed. You can’t reverse LASIK/PKR
Your non-experience wasn't worth it, then?
First, I’m sorry it’s taken me ages to respond to this. My e-mailbox is a mess, and I’d completely missed the notification of your comment.
I “made that incorrect inference [you] had a bad [surgical] experience” because you’ve posted, here, “I have done this. NOT WORTH IT!” I didn’t infer that. You stated it, outright. That is how this site works: people give their experienced opinions of a goal. An inexperienced evaluation, however informed it might be, does not fit the parameters. It’s only once you’ve completed a certain task that you’re meant to judge whether or not it was worth doing. If you decide against completing a goal, you can either give it up or delete it. You’re obviously very happy with your Intacs, so perhaps you could start a new goal about that, and say it’s “worth it.”
I have not surveyed all the competent ophthalmologists of the world, so I wouldn’t know what most of them have to say about Lasik. I do know, however, that if they refer to a surgical procedure, rather than an instance of it, as “butchery,” they are certainly not competent users of the English language. I also know that the eminent ophthalmologist who performed my surgery has absolute faith in the procedure.
It really is great that you’ve found something that works for you, but other people may have different needs and preferences than you do, and, thus, would be better suited to other types of solutions.

You may want to consider having someone review your comments before you post, you don’t seem to comprehend your incorrect inference even after it’s pointed out.
corrective eye surgery0R lasik
INTACs are corrective eye surgery
An inexperienced evaluation, however informed it might be, does not fit the parameters.
Nice cliche dropping. No matter how vogue the cliche, it has no value in determining the truth/falsity of a statement. As I previously pointed out, I have had the eye surgery experience. Please point out where the site defines the response protocol that you have invented.
I work with recovering crack/meth addicts. I’ve never tried either drug, but I know how problematic they are. Given my extensive knowledge in this area, I can’t respond to the group listing “Try crack” – it doesn’t fit the cliche you cited.
I have not surveyed all the competent ophthalmologists of the world,
A stat tip, you don’t have to question every member of a population to get a representative survey.
I also know that the eminent ophthalmologist who performed my surgery has absolute faith in the procedure. You forgot to add your eminent chiropractor, your eminent naturopathic quack both have absolute faith in your deep enema flushing they perform. Not surprising someone with a vested interest in a procedure would recommend it. Have you even asked your eminent ophthalmologist about INTACs?
I must disclose that in the randomized survey I conducted of ophthalmologists (including R3’s), the most common response was I wouldn’t get any corrective surgery. If I had to choose, INTACs is the clearly the least riskyIt really is great that you’ve found something that works for you, but other people may have different needs and preferences than you do, and, thus, would be better suited to other types of solutions.
The logic flaw in the above cliche was exposed to 4th graders 2,000 years ago. Apparently Coretta Scott King took your advice. Please read Coretta takes Roxi advice
