i’m really young, and everyone will probably tell me i’m too young to be on this site wishing to do all these amazing things.
but i can definitely help you in this topic, because i know it was meant for me to find my talents at such a young age. six years ago i became interested in music, and ever since then i’ve gone through cycles, trying to find my true talent and only recently i’ve realized it was here under my nose the whole time and that i was just meant to be a musician. pretty soon i’m going to be worrying about college and applying for it, but i know exactly where i want to go and what i want to do…because i’ve found my talents.
sometimes talents are really random and strange things like typing. that’s something i’m pretty good at but i don’t think that in my life i’d really consider it a talent, but some people may.
so to answer your last question, and ultimately all of your questions, the best way to search for your talent is by trying new things. take a class, do something with a friend. if finding your talents is something you really feel like you need to do, then i certainly hope you’re willing to go through with it and make an effort to try new things. try your hand at cooking, drawing, writing, playing a musical instrument, working with kids, sewing, doing magic tricks… pay closer attention to things you do skillfully that other people don’t do as skillfully and then focus on that area. like i said, it could be the most random of things. you could be good at critiqueing (sp?) movies or food, you could be good at reading out loud, public speaking, you could be good at being outgoing… i’m not going to list every possible talent because the list could go on forever.
also know that you don’t have just one talent, so it most definitely is impossible to be talent-less. you seem to be a good writer. i don’t really know, i’m just saying.
one last thing before i finally close (sorry for ranting!): talents don’t come to you, you find them. :)
i hope that helped anyone who might read this!
