drink 40 year old Bordeaux on my 40th birthday (read all 3 entries…)

Figuring that prices would skyrocket leading up to the 40th anniversary of a renowned vintage, I signed up for a few waiting lists a while back, and promptly forgot about it. But it was through those mailing lists that I ended up scoring a bottle of 1970 Latour, Paullac. This is exciting because a) one of my wine mentors favors Latour among aged Bordeauxs b) Robert Parker gushes over this exact wine c) it means that I am actually going to go through with this goal and d) I have an excuse to learn how to pronounce Paullac.

Now I have three years to stock up on Easy Cheese and decide who I’m sharing the bottle with. If I can parlay this into a bidding war, so much the better.

LMAO

A bidding war? I am assuming you mean the ladies bidding for your cheese and wine.

OH, I am wishing you such luck with this one.

I just want to watch.
This will be one hell of a bidding contest. Three years huh…

I plan on sticking around a few more, I hope I don’t miss this action.

Trauma_Junkie is really ready for Memorial Day!

you just have to make it a contest...

sort of like this one….
