learn sign language
International 1 year ago

My husband has an adopted sister who was born deaf because her mother was suffering with measles while pregnant. They didnt discover this until she was about 6 months old, when his mother accidently dropped a pan, and she didnt even flinch. After having it confirmed by doctors, they enrolled her in school and taught the whole family the use of sign language. Currently she is living in Idaho and us in Florida, so I havent had the chance to meet her yet, but when I do, I would like to be able to “speak” with her. It also seems that sign language is more the International language that all of us can share. Which just helps to bring us closer.
