To just bust out a back handspring when I get really happy or excited. I think it’s never too late to learn, however the questiong is where? Do I need to take an adult gymnastics class?

I love this goal
It would be awesome to just bust one out whenever I felt like it! I think I am going to add this goal. When I break my neck it is going to be your fault. ;) Positive thoughts, positive thoughts….

Yes
I would think a gymnastics class would be the best place to start. I’m sure you can find classes like that in the area, maybe at a local community college?
Me too.
I have always wanted to learn to do the back handspring. I can do a back walkover. However, I’m now 42, but still in great shape. I took my daughter, who is a cheering, to a place called Revolution Cheer and Tumble, in Collegeville, PA. They have a website. Just Google it. Anyway, all they do is tumbling and handsprings and tucks. It looks like the perfect place to learn as an adult. The receptionist told me that an adult can’t take the classes, that they would have to get a private lesson. Since I just paid for my daughter, I’m going to wait a bit but then I will sign up for the private lesson. In just one hour lesson, my daughter is almost there. It is probably impossible to teach yourself, and dangerous. I would suggest a trampoline. A mother of another student told me that “Santa” brought a mat for her daughter and that if you want, you can put the mat on top of the trampoline. Hope that helps and please don’t give up. I won’t either. Maybe there will be a place like that near you. I do know that in major cities they have adult gymnastic classes. Good luck!
